Summary: unless your are using it indoors DO NOT BUY
Comment: We have had several cantilever umbrellas so we are not new to them. A decent one is going to cost $249 and up so atleast this one is only 100 dollars, I guess you could say its worth the price if it doesnt break. Its only been set up for about 5 minutes now and you can see the stress marks on the cheap plastic. I don't think its going to last a week. It wants to break so bad right now. (there is ZERO wind out there). The plastic parts are made with the strength of a plastic water bottle or maybe a thermos. save the trouble get a different one.

Summary: I think this is a good value!
Comment: For those that said it blows over easy, well duh, if you don't anchor it into the deck it'll blow over! The umbrella doesn't come with a counter weight so screwing it into the deck required. I think the handle is of good quality, so far after a week no problems! Would recommend, even if you have to buy a second one next year, since 2 of these are about the same as 1 on sale at Home Depot! ($139 this week at the depot for 9ft)

Summary: Not worth the cheap price, buy the more expensive one
Comment: The 2nd time we used it, it fell over in very very light winds and popped the top rivets in the swinging arm broke. The other one we purchased constantly swings from left to right in very light winds. It wont lock in place like more expensive models do. Would not recommend any to purchase. Save more money to purchase better one.

Summary: Umbrellas
Comment: This umbrella is not an acceptable product. It is poorly designed. Even in a very slight breeze it completely fell apart. The manufacture tryed to save money by putting a little wire ring to hold the arms together and it sprung and the arms fell out. I subtituted the cheap wire with a 1/4" steel cable and it seems to work ok. It was quite a process to perform but it was easier than sending back this item. It is the first item that i have purchased from Amazon and there have been many that i was disappointed in.

Summary: Unbelievable value for the $
Comment: With the inexpensive nature of this umbrella, I expected a flimsy, rickety unit that would collapse at the first use. I was SO wrong. It's well built, HUGE, and extremely well made. Why not 5 stars? Only because raising and lowering it requires three separate adjustments: the height, clipping in the support arm, and securing the joint. If it were one, I'd be 5 stars for sure, but for this price, I can gladly work with the 3.
