Comment: I ordered these after seeing the America's Test Kitchen review in which they picked similar ones as their choice. These have worked great for handling hot grates and my cast-iron smoker box. The leather feels and looks great and I've found them very comfortable.

Comment: These gloves work fine for handling hot grills as long as you make every effort to handle the hot metal for as short a time as possible. Get just a little careless and hold on for just a bit too long, and you'll get burned! I would have liked a bit more insulation, but still, for the money, these gloves aren't bad at all.

Comment: These are basically the same as welders gloves only nicer looking. I have used them quite a few times and they work quite well, I can pick up the cast iron pan I use for wood chips and not suffer the usual scorched fingers....
