Comment: The hammock was easy to set up and within about 10 minutes everyone was waiting their turn. It's been set up for about a month and the rope is a little discolored. I think it would be too inconvenient to take down and store after each use but, the life expectancy would probably improve. It is still very comfortable and well worth the investment

Summary: Relaxation at its peak!
Comment: I purchased this hammock in early Spring to have a nice place to rest and relax outside. It is very nice, and my wife and I lie in it frequently and listen to the breeze and watch the ocean waves. It's comfortable, it's classy, and I love it. Assembly is easy. I would go insane without my hammock!

Summary: Not what I expected
Comment: I bought this original Pawley's island hammock. Didn't find out untill I opened the box that it was made in China. Now that may not matter to some. but I expected an original Pawley's island hammock to be made in the USA. It looks like it was made by children.

The Original Pawley Island Rope Hammocks feature custom designed strecher bars cut from seasoned hardwood, then steamed, bent, drilled, sanded, and varnished, all to impart a comfortable sway to the hammock and to spread the rope evenly for optimum stability. Each Original starts with a rhythmic motion of a needle of rope knitting in and out of the hammock body. Once the body is woen, the hammock is completed by connecting it to strong, plaited ends stung through the oak stretcher bars and tied with nautical bowline knots to the body strands. Upon final inspection, each hammock is marked with the traditional metal tag to ensure it's authenticity as an Original Pawley's Island Rope Hammock.
