Comment: This is our second offset upbrella from Southern Patio. The first lasted four seasons in Texas (lots of sun and wind). At that rate, it's about $40-$50 per season, depending on what it's selling for when you buy it. Like I said in the title - best bang for the buck.

Comment: When we wanted to buy a large offset umbrella I did a lot of looking all over the internet and didn't find anything that we liked or was within our budget. The runner up to his umbrella was a good buy but didn't have a weighted base so you had to put something on top of the base to keep it upright. This one is perfect! The base is water weighted, the umbrella shades two picnic tables, it tilts, it's pretty...I could go on on and about how much I love this umbrella but I think you get the point. Shipping from Amazon was fast and this was easy to put together. It is heavy so keep that in mind with delivery. We are now considering a second one for our deck so I would definately buy it again!

Comment: I had a couple of cantilever umbrellas that were cheaply made and broke immediately, often on shipping. This one is clearly well-made and sturdy. The water ballast is big but seems like a good solution to the need to weight these awkward things down. The assembly wasn't exactly easy (some strength required) but I am a short woman and did it myself in under an hour without tools. The style I received was a little different than the picture (flat edges as opposed to hanging pieces), but I think I actually like mine better anyway. It opens easily with a crank and does tilt, but as far as I can tell, only in one direction. I am happy with this umbrella. I didn't have to deal with customer service, so I can't comment on that.

Comment: So far as I can tell, this umbrella looks OK, however, it arrived with some parts missing. I have been trying to contact this company for three days now with no results. If you call the toll free number, you get put on hold indefinitely. If you email, you get no response. Ordering products from this company (Southern Patio) is a risk - buyer beware!

Comment: I went to a local patio store and they wanted $1000 for a similar product. This umbrella was easy to set up and very easy to use. The base is very sturdy and the water makes the weighting easy to use. Look no further this is the umbrella for you.
