Summary: What a deal
Comment: Beautiful patio umbrella for a fraction of what I would have paid even at a discount store. The color is lighter than discribed, more of a tan than brown but is beautiful and perfect for my deck.

Summary: Strathwood 9ft ryer market umbrella
Comment: I've had this abouyt a month now and haven't found anything wrong with it. The material is rugged and thick enough, or nice enough grade to make it appear very high quality. The pole and rods are all aluminum and haven't stressed or deflected any under light wind loads or repeated use. The wind gearing has worked since we got it and we have had no problems with the string coming detached. It winds up and down pretty easily. Once open it looks very nice. The neighbors bought one from Amazon just as expensive but the material wasn't as good and it didn't have a winder, just a string you pulled and they talk about ours non stop (they like ours MUCH better). They also bought a wood pole and since it's sectioned in the middle, we have seen these snap in wind gusts which is why we stayed with alluminum. We are very happy with the umbrella.

Summary: It was nice while it lasted...
Comment: I bought this for my new patio and was very excited when it arrived. It looked great for about a week. One not very strong wind gust bent the pole in half. Another patio umbrella - just 10 feet away - which I bought for 14.95 on sale at a home improvement store held up just fine and is still going strong a month later. Too bad the guality of the pole is so bad, the umbrella fabric itself was of nice quality - perhaps the fabric was just too heavy for the pole.
