Summary: So far so good
Comment: We haven't used the bench/table yet, so I'm not sure how functional it will be. It was a little difficult to set up and is a little stiff to manipulate, but we're hoping with more use it will loosen up. Otherwise is suits our need for space and function.

Summary: I Really Like This, But...
Comment: I'm quite happy with this picnic table / bench convertible as a supplement to my existing yard and patio furniture. It does exactly what I purchased it for: additional overflow serving / seating space, and for kids. There are a few points however, to be aware of:
1. It's not "American" adult sized: it's actually pretty small. I wouldn't put more than 2 grown ups on the thing and even that's tight, but it's great for up to four kids. The table top area is small too, but again, okay for kids.
2. Construction tolerances are not very tight, so you've gotta work it a bit to get everything to fit right. Even so, if you convert it back-and-forth a lot without tools it'll loosen up, and eventually collapse. I generally leave it as a bench until I absolutely need the serving space. Also, when I do convert it, I re-tighten everything with appropriate tools.
3. The finish is fairly rough. Since I was going to use it mostly for kids, I felt I had to sand it down, and smooth the edges off. Then I actually re-finished the seat and table top. It sounds like a lot of work, but I've got all the gear, so it didn't take long.
All in all, I'm happy with my purchase, and it's working just fine. It's probably okay right out of the box for a lot of folks, but I'm a bit particular, and always gotta tinker with stuff.
