The perfect addition to our Adirondack Chair. This foot stool has been designed to complement our Adirondack Chair by using the same shapes and dimensions. It not only looks great, it feels great too! This foot stool is made of shorea, a teak family wood that is more dense and heavy than teak. Shorea requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors where rain and sun will damage other lesser quality woods. Left untreated, shorea will weather to a soft warm shade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. Sturdy mortise and tenon construction provides the highest quality joinery that will last for many years. Original color can be maintained by applying a seasonal coat of teak oil.

Few Known Facts About Pine The Pine trees are among the best trees that are around today. They are distinguished from all other trees. They are usually long lived, usually over a hundred years old; the oldest pine tree is at least 4800 years old in their kind of environment. They are always evergreen and one of the first trees to spring back to life on open ground after a hurricane or fire. Pines are mostly large trees with a straight trunk with whorls of smaller lateral branches, but they have a wide range of habits varying from tall narrow trees to small bushy trees to prostrate shrubs. These are sun loving and relatively shade-intolerant, although there are species of the pine that are not as shade-tolerant and will grow from seedlings in already shady forests. Pine trees go back to about 130-200 million years. They have about 120 species and subspecies, most being in the northern hemisphere. Only one species extends south of the equator of about one degree. They grow in different area ranging from low line sea level areas to mountain tree lines; from the edge of the desserts to rain forests.
